We noticed a black film on Ruby's eye last week. We went to the vet today and found out she has Pannus, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the cornea in a dog's eye. Without getting into it, this is a condition that is going to require lifelong steroid treatments and she may lose a good amount of vision in both of her eyes. The vet was really impressed that we caught it so early but, still, steroids ain't cheap (and neither will the visit to the doggy eye doctor we'll be making this month.) I know things could be a million times worse, it just really sucks when I start to think about it too much. So, I'm going to be selling the Blythe hats I've been obsessively making with all proceeds going towards Ruby's vet bills.
